Nellie was born in Hanford, CA on February 28, 1921 to William and Cornelia Vander Moren. She lived most of her life in California, moving to Salem in 1988 with her husband Thies Van Zanten who passed away in January 1994. She is survived by her three children; son Sidney Van Zanten and wife Gail, and daughter Cora Lautenbach, both of Salem, and son John Van Zanten of Roseville, CA; also 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchldren and 3 great great grandchildren. Nellie was an active member of Sunnyslope Christian Reform Church in Salem. She loved people and we'll all miss her greatly. Viewing will be at Restlawn Funeral Home on Sunday Oct. 31st from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. Funeral services are Monday, 11 AM at Sunnyslope CRC, 197 Hrubetz Road SE, Salem.
