SALEM - Darlene Zapata passed away peacefully in her sleep in Oakhurst, California, on October 7, 2007 after attending a family wedding. She was born September 16, 1955 in Merced, Calif., and was a long-time Salem resident. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Zapata, and nine siblings. She was much loved by family and friends. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 17 at Restlawn Funeral Home in Salem. Inurnment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens.
