Stan attended school in Adams, MN and worked on the family farm. He later worked at the Hormel Foods plant. His career as an auto mechanic led him to Los Angeles where he met his future wife, Stephanie Melnychuk. They were married at St. Joseph Catholic Church on July 7, 1956 and built their life in Salem, Oregon.

Stan enjoyed and loved his family, neighbors, and friends. He also enjoyed working on his fifteen-acre farm, gardening, woodworking, and spending time in the garage. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of laughter, and his willingness to share his wealth of knowledge to help others. He was hard-working and lived an active, full life until cancer took him from us. We will all miss him dearly.
