Vic joined our team in 2012 and enjoys assisting with services and seeing the many people that have come to know him. He started his apprenticeship on March 3, 1958 at Howell-Edwards Funeral Home in Salem. Since then, he has become a well-known and much beloved pillar of the Salem community and served thousands of families with dignity, integrity and honor.
After graduating from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, Vic operated Dallas Mortuary in 1960, and served as Dallas Fire Department president, president of Kids Incorporated, and choir director at Dallas Alliance church. Then Vic returned to Salem to continue his career as funeral director and embalmer.
Vic and his wife, Valdean, live in Salem, where he spends his semi-retirement with his wife and children, and doting on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife have been members of Salem First Baptist for many years.
