Obituary for Bruce Steven Tindall

Bruce Steven  Tindall
Bruce was born in Salem, Oregon to Robert (Bob) and LaVerna Tindall. Bruce grew up on the Oregon coast and graduated from Seaside High School in 1971. After high school, Bruce joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served during the evacuation of Vietnam. During his tour of duty on the USS Gurke and USS Oklahoma City, Bruce spent much of his time in Japan. In his free time while stationed in Japan he loved to ride his motorcycle on trips to Mt. Fuji.

After the Navy, Bruce attended Chemeketa Community College where he earned four Associate degrees. During college he met Teresa (Kilgore), to whom he was married for 16 years. Bruce worked in property appraisal for Linn, Lane, and Yamhill counties and the State of Oregon at the Department of Revenue until June 2013.

Bruce had a lifelong love of motorcycles and loved to camp and dirt bike in the Bend area. He loved to golf at McNary Golf Course and was also was a long time member of the Courthouse Athletic Club, where he loved to play racquetball. He was a living inspiration to those he was close with, and he will be forever remembered, missed, and loved.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his significant other, Jan Major-Bemus, his son, Shawn Tindall, Brother, Bradley Tindall, Nieces, Bethann Hnat and Brook Dominick.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 2 pm at Restlawn Funeral Home. Interment at Restlawn Cemetery.
