Obituary for Clayton "Stan" Ostby

Clayton “Stan” Ostby, 69, of Salem passed away at his home on August 24, 2015 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Stan was born to William and Viola Ostby in Minot, North Dakota on January 8, 1946. He grew up and lived most of his life in Salem, Oregon. He served in the Marine Reserves and received an Associate Degree in Drafting from Chemeketa Community College.

Stan was a loving husband and grandfather. He loved traveling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Cheryl; sister Karen Wirth; brother Nathan (Karol) Ostby; stepdaughter Tiffany (Anthony) Brown; and two grandchildren: Sofia and Olivia Brown.

A memorial service will be held at Restlawn Funeral Home on Friday, September 4th, 2015 at 10:00am. A special thank you to Willamette Valley Hospice for all of their support.
